Malcolm Jackson

Malcolm is an independent consultant that assists publicly traded companies on projects with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance. He has been a member of GRIG since inception in 1997. Malcolm received both a BA and MBA from Florida A&M University. He serves as the lead of GRIG’s Venture team. A native of Chicago, Malcolm currently resides in Dallas, TX.

Charles Frazier Jr.

Mr. Charles E. Frazier Jr. is the president and co-founder of Educational Development Company of America, LLC which was formed in 1997. He has grown the student housing investment and development company to over $125MM in apartment communities which the firm developed or co-developed. Charles was an original founding partner of GRIG and formerly Jr. Partner of GRIG in 2000. He is an active member and currently serves on the GRIG real estate committee. Charles' past work experience includes Citigroup, Prism Properties and Hinson Realty. He is an active member of the Real Estate Executive Council, the Urban Land Institute, Fannie Mae South East Advisory Council and several other professional and civic organizations. He received his M.B.A. from the Florida A&M University School of Business and Industry.

Garry Gordon

Garry was one of the original members of GRIG. He received his undergraduate from Florida A&M University in Agronomy. He is currently attending Auburn University and is pursuing an M. S. in Horticulture. Garry is originally from Richmond, VA. "GrassRoots has offered me the opportunity to invest with some of the most business savvy individuals of my generation."

Vianka Perez Belyea

Vianka is a native of New York City. She  graduated from Boston University with a Masters in Public Health, and is currently working as the practice manager for the Radiology Department at Boston Medical Center. One day she hopes to start a business. She serves as the lead of GRIG’s Communication team.

Kristin Tucker

Kristin is a native of Columbus, Ohio and 2001 MBA graduate of Florida A&M University. She is a Warm Spirit Independent Consultant, a nature based line of self-care and wellness products (www.warmspirit.org/relaxwithme); and principal of Celestial Real Estate Properties, LLC. Kristin serves the community through Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Sankofa Educational Enrichment Program and New Jerusalem Baptist Church nursery coordinator. She has been recognized for her leadership with several awards, including Reach for the Stars Emerging Leaders ('05), Leading Women Award ('04), YWCA Rising Stars ('03) and GRIG Entrepreneurial Service Award ('03).

Isaac Wright

Isaac is a native of Chicago, IL. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Vanderbilt University. Isaac lives in Silver Spring, MD with his wife and son.  He is currently a Sr. Information Systems Engineer with The MITRE Corporation.  Isaac joined GRIG in 1998.

Aaron Gray

Aaron, a native of Chicago, IL, is currently doing business Development at Fandago in Los Angeles, CA and recently completely a two-year commitment as an Investment Banker at Goldman Sachs. Previously, he worked in their Technology, Media, and Telecom Group in the Investement Banking Division and at the Florida State Board of Administration  in their domestic equities Group as a Research Analyst. He attended Florida A&M University on a full four-year, academic scholarship and graduated summa cum laude in May 2003.

Tunde Mendes

Tunde Mendes made his home in New York City, after he graduated from Florida A&M University's School of Business and Industry in 1999. Currently, Tunde works as an associate commercial credit analyst with BNP Paribas. He is instrumental in monitoring the credit quality of multinational firms in the Aerospace industry. Tunde is also an avid martial artist as he studies Capoeira a Brazilian martial art.

Rosalyn K. Reese
Rosalyn is a 1998 graduate of Tuskegee University with a B.S. in Biology. She has served in a myriad of leadership and management positions over the last eight years in the U.S. Army, spending 4 years in South Korea. Currently, she attends Syracuse University’s Whitman School of Management and the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs in a joint degree program.  Rosalyn owns Comrade Global Investors, LLC, an investment education company that conducts workshops for public schools and private organizations. 

Patrick Ngwolo

Patrick hails from Dallas, TX. He is an entrepreneur and a law student at the University of Texas at Austin. In his spare time, Patrick enjoys reading and exercising.

Marvis Simpson

Marvis Simpson Atlanta born, Marvis moved back to her hometown after graduating with her MBA from Florida A&M University. She moved back to study the insurance business in her fathers State Farm Insurance office. After working under his tutelage for five years Marvis applied for an agency position with State Farm to build her own office. She is currently an Agency Intern waiting on an agency opportunity in the near future with State Farm.

Quincy Sinkler

Quincy was born in Sumter, South Carolina. He received his MBA from Florida A&M University in April 2001 with a concentration in Finance. Currently he serves as a Sr. Credit Analyst for Frito-Lay, Inc. in Plano TX. Quincy has a keen interest in real estate, investing, entrepreneurship and international business. He serves as the lead of GRIG’s Real Estate team.
