GRIG Ventures:

Since 1999, GRIG Ventures has been providing capital for growing businesses, either as a loan or equity investment. The organization has a dedicated team to evaluate and make recommendations on various investment opportunities. It is the goal of GRIG to encourage the entrepreneur's spirit and look for ways to create a mutually beneficial relationship. The organization has invested in various ventures including but not limited to a copy center, housing development, car wash and internet properties.

The Ventures team of GRIG is dedicated to evaluating income producing equity deals. We take a long-term approach to our investments, meaning we do not look to liquidate our position at the first opportunity. We look at deals where there are other outside investors besides GRIG. GrassRoots will consider deals with a ROI in the 20% - 25% range. GRIG also looks to take a minority stake in whatever deal we participate in (less than 20%). We typically invest $50k-$100k for an equity stake. Deals that may fit our investment profile would include investments in well-known franchises, expansion financing, and equity components of bank loans. The Ventures team will look at businesses in a wide variety of industries, since our membership consists of individuals from a multitude of professions.
