Get Educated: why invest

I'm too busy to invest now, I will wait until later.

The single most powerful idea behind investing is TIME. This factor is something that is God given and can't be taken away. The more time you have the more money you can make. It sounds simple, but try this example. Two twin brothers invested their cash at two different times. One boy invested $2000 a month starting at age 21 for 5 years. The other boy invested $2000 a month starting at age 26 for 20 years. The question is who has the most money. Well assuming an annual compound interest rate of 15% they both had 1.2 million dollars at the end of 25 years. The earlier you start, the easier it is to become a millionaire.

I really don't have any money to invest.

You don't need a large amount of money to begin investing. You must sacrifice some of your present pleasures to ensure your future riches. If you invested $100 dollars in General Electric in 1976 you would have over $3000 dollars today. Or if you invested $100 dollars in Intel or America Online just a few years ago you would have more than $4000 dollars. You must use whatever money you have and invest it immediately. It's like the lotto: "You must be in it to win it." For as little as $25 dollars a month you can soon be on your way to a fortune.

I don't know anything about investing.

Are you living? Everybody knows something about investing. What shoes are you always buying? What name brand do you look for? Do you drink Coke, or watch a particular brand of TV? Everything you buy as a consumer can indicate to you what's hot in the market. Its called "GOING FOR WHAT YOU KNOW." Start investing in companies you spend a lot of money with or that your friends keep talking about. Where were you when America Online was hot? Or when Timberland skyrocketed and earned their investors a 50% return. Once you get comfortable with investing with companies you are familiar with then you might be ready to move on.

I want to invest in my own business.

Great idea. Investing in your business can empower you to become an instant success. The majority of millionaires in this country own their own business. However, you must build a base to ensure that you are ready to take on the significant risks involved in starting a small business. The equity value {your worth} you will gain through investing will give you great bargaining power when it comes to financing your business..
